Are you one
of God's
sheep?
My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me. And I give eternal life to them and they shall never perish! And not anyone shall snatch them out of my hand. John 10:27+28
And Jesus spoke to them this parable, saying;
What man of you having a 100 sheep and loosing one of them, does not leave the 99 in the deserted place and go after the lost one until he finds it?
And finding it, he puts it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
And coming to the house, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them; rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that had been lost! Luke 15:3-6
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned-every one- to his own way!
ISAIAH 53:6
For you were straying sheep, but now you are turned back to the Shepherd and overseer of your souls. 1 Peter 2:25
Are you in need of a Shepherd to lead you and guide you through life?
And most importantly bring you to heaven?
In matthew 9:36 Jesus said of the crowd he saw that they were like sheep without a shepherd...
and he sent his disciples out and told them; but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel
and in Hebrews 13:20 the scriptures calls Jesus the great shepherd of the sheep
Is God calling you?
Our creator is exactly the kind of shepherd we need. Consider how a shepherd takes care of his sheep. He gently leads and guides his sheep. He knows each sheep by their name. If one is lost, he leaves the 99 in order to find the lost one. When he has found his lost sheep, he rejoices. All of us like sheep have gone astray and gotten entangled in all kinds of things that we can't get ourselves out of, just like sheep. Our good Shepherd, Jesus Christ, laid down his life for his sheep(us) and gathers us back together to himself and brings us to the father, and we in turn follow him and he leads us the right way in this life and to eternal life, so we can be with him and our heavenly father forever!
If he is calling you, don't get startled, don't be scared, answer the call, respond, follow the good shepherd, he will never lead you the wrong way, he will never leave you or forsake you! He is your best and only hope to lead you out of and through this wilderness we call the world and following him you will be at peace, because you will know that you are in good hands! ( and you will know that you are no longer trying to do an impossible job of trying to lead yourself- like the blind leading the blind- instead it's our true shepherd leading us!
I am the good shepherd! the good shepherd lays down his life on behalf of the sheep. John 10:11
I am the door, if anyone enters through me, he will be saved and will go in, and will go out, and find pasture. John 10:9
1 Peter 5:4
and at the appearing of the chief shepherd you will receive the never fading crown of righteousness!
When Jesus comes back,
He will separate the sheep from the goats!
But when the son of man comes in all his glory and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. And before him shall be gathered all the nations: and he will separate from one another, as the shepherd separates the SHEEP from the goats.
And indeed he will set the SHEEP at his right, but the goats at the left hand.
Then the King will say to those at his right, Come, the ones blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
For I hungered and you gave me food to eat, I thirsted and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you gathered me in, naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you came to see me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
Then the righteous ones will answer, saying; Lord, when did we see you hungering and we fed you; or thirsting and we gave you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and gathered you in, or naked and clothed you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and came to you?
And answering the King will say to them, truly I say to you, in so far as you did it to one of these , the least of my brothers, you did it to me.
Then he will also say to the ones on the left, go away from me,the ones cursed, into the everlasting fire having been prepared for the devil and his angels.
For I hungered and you did not give me a thing to eat, I thirsted and you did not give me a thing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not gather me in, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not come to see me.
Then they also will answer him, saying; Lord, when did we see you hungering or thirsting, or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and did not minister to you?
Then He will answer them saying; Truly I say to you, in as much as you did not do it to one of these, the least, neither did you do it to me.
AND THESE SHALL GO AWAY INTO EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT, BUT THE RIGHTEOUS ONES INTO EVERLASTING LIFE. Matthew 25:31-46
